On the label, check the ingredient list: the higher up the meat or fish appears, the more of it the recipe contains proportionally. Carbohydrates then come from peas, lentils or potatoes rather than grains. Also compare the fat content depending on whether your dog is sporty or more sedentary, to adjust the ration accordingly. Rotating between a couple of recipes can also help keep mealtimes interesting for a fussier dog.
