Flat cushion, bolster mattress or donut bed: which to pick?
A bolster mattress surrounds the dog with a soft raised edge, popular with dogs that like to rest their head up high, while a donut bed wraps more fully around the body for a cosier feel. A classic flat cushion works well as a secondary bed, for example in a crate or travel basket.
Making upkeep easier day to day
A washable cushion with a fully removable cover makes upkeep much simpler, especially for dogs that shed a lot or go out in all weather. Some designs also come in a waterproof version, useful for older dogs.
Choosing the right fabric for the season
